About
Number Sixteen Hotel

Number Sixteen forms part of a mid-Victorian white stucco terrace situated in the heart of lively South Kensington. Hyde Park and world-renowned museums, including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum are all within short walking distance. Number Sixteen has its own tree-filled private garden, a stylish Drawing Room and sunny Orangery. The hotel offers 24 hour room service, valet, concierge and high speed wireless internet access. Every room at Number Sixteen is individually designed and decorated by Creative Director and Owner, Kit Kemp, in a fresh and modern English style. The rooms are light and airy, with high ceilings and natural light. Many of the rooms look over the leafy courtyard garden or on to the gorgeous Victorian white stucco terraces of Sumner Place. Set within a series of pure white Stucco buildings in South Kensington, Number Sixteen is just around the corner from world class museums, leading bars and restaurants, as well as Kensington Gardens. Interiors have been designed by Kit Kemp, acclaimed for her individual and unique way of arranging spaces with a colourful and carefree spirit. Inside the hotel... we felt it would be lovely to have summer in one room and winter in another room, but equally you could look at it as day and night. Having this little succession of rooms with very different feels makes it more of an adventure.

More About
Number Sixteen Hotel

Number Sixteen is one of London’s very first boutique hotels and it forms part of a row of gleaming white stucco mid Victorian townhouses. It originally opened in the 1980’s and instantly became popular with discerning travellers looking for an alternative to the larger Park Lane hotels.  Now several years on, Tim and Kit Kemp have given it a new lease of life and Kit has redesigned the hotel in her signature, fresh modern English style. The hotel comprises 41 individually designed bedrooms each containing all the facilities expected in a Firmdale property.  There are two ground floor drawing rooms, the first is light and bright and features a quirky mix of modern art and furniture and the second is warm and cosy and incorporates a fully stocked honesty bar.  But it is Number Sixteen’s conservatory featuring an interesting mix of ethnic art, and private tree filled garden that really sets it apart. It is perfect for guests to relax in, dine or entertain friends or colleagues and the garden rooms have their own private courtyards with direct access to the garden. Kindly note that WiFi at the hotel is complimentary
