The Velona Castle, located on a hill overlooking the Val dOrcia, a Unesco World Heritage Site (2004), is a restored castle dating back to the 10th / 11th century. Located 1 h45 minutes from Florence and just 8 km from Montalcino, the Castle dominates the Val D’Orcia, with its typical landscape of olive trees and vineyards, which produce the famous Brunello di Montalcino. The Castle has a total of 10 rooms and 35 suites, and have been designed according to two different concepts: Monumental Rooms (they have a typical Tuscan furniture, linked to the original style of the Castle) and UNESCO View Rooms (contemporary furnishings, all have a patio / private garden with stunning sunset views and natural hot thermal water directly from the tap dedicated to their bathtub). The Resort counts 3 restaurants, 2 of which are open for dinner with a Gourmet Menù at the Brunello Restaurant and traditional italian Cusine at Settimo Senso, and the Dolce Vita Pool Restaurante, located outside the pool area is open only for lunch. The OLISPA is an oasis of pure relaxation that extends over an area of 1500 square meters where the Tuscan travertine dominates in a linear and refined environment. 2 pools, one inside and one outside, with thermal water.
