Amankila (peaceful hills) is located near the village of Manggis in East Balis Karangasem Regency, overlooked by sacred Mount Agung. From its verdant setting above the Lombok Strait, the resort enjoy sea and coastal views of the historic region. Amankilas three-tier pool is set into the cliff edge, offering spectacular panoramic views of Amuk Bay and Nusa Penida. The aqua-tiled pools flow one into the other, stepping down liked terraced rice fields. Amankilas 34 free-standing suite, all with alang alang roof thatching, are designed as beach houses with a twist. They subtly reflect their East Bali surrounding with particular reference to Ujung, the Royal Water Palace just outside Amlapura, the district capital. Surrounded by frangipani trees and offering magnificent ocean view, the suite are situated on the hill side and connected to the resort s entrance suite and restaurant areas by stepped walkways. Each suite features a large bedroom with wide window views, canopied king-size bed ad writing desk. The spacious bathroom offer a window-side divan, soaking tub, separate shower and toilet, dressing area and double terrazzo vanities. the suites outside door terrace is furnished with a daybed, coconut-shell table and rattan chairs.

Claiming a breathtaking stretch of coastline on the Lombok Strait, Amankila rests on a lush hillside beneath sacred Mount Agung, offering rare mountain and beach experiences in one location. Connected by frangipani-lined walkways through the treetops, 31 stilted suites offer spectacular views high on the hillside, while a three-tier infinity pool cascades at the property’s heart and the Beach Club leads to a private volcanic-sand beach. Amankila’s freestanding suites subtly reflect their East Bali surroundings with particular reference to nearby Taman Soekasada Ujung, the Royal Water Palace. Twelve suites, including the Kilasari and Indrakila Suites and the twobedroom Amankila Suite, feature private swimming pools. All are connected by elevated walkways to the resort’s entrance pavilion and restaurant areas The Restaurant is located above the resort’s signature three-tier swimming pool overlooking the ocean, and serves both Western and Indonesian cuisines. Adjacent is Amankila’s Bar, also offering views out to sea. The Terrace, set back from the main swimming pool, serves a selection of Asian and Western fare. A simple menu of salads and pizzas is available at the Beach Club. Located below the resort, the Beach Club is set back from the beach in a peaceful coconut grove. Surrounded by coconut palms and partially shaded by a frangipani tree is Amankila’s largest swimming pool, overlooked by the Beach Club terrace restaurant. Eight secluded lounging bales line the beach.
