The luxury boutique hotel of Capri Tiberio Palace on the Italian island of Capri has been delighting guests since the roaring twenties

Established in the early 1900s, today Capri Tiberio Palace offers that magical balance of history and tradition with contemporary style.

Part of the renowned Leading Hotels of The World group, this petite beach resort has just 26 rooms and 18 suites, many with views of the sea or surrounding mountains. The Bellevue Suite is particularly special, with a private hot tub lined with geometric tiles in sea hues, handcrafted by local artisans.

No wonder the hotel regularly scoops international awards, including being voted among the top 30 hotels in Europe by discerning Conde Nast Traveller readers.

Location, location, location

Nestled in the heart of Capri off Italy’s west coast, Capri Tiberio Palace is just steps away from the glamorous main street, Piazzetta, lined with cafés and independent boutiques.

Just 31 miles from Naples International Airport, the hotel is easily accessible wherever you’re visiting from.

Style it out

Capri Tiberio Palace’s new look is down to Milanese architect and interior designer Giampiero Panepinto, following a renovation early last year which also unveiled four new signature suites. Throughout the hotel, Panepinto maintained and combined traditional features such as the wrought iron staircase with playful touches – look out for toy robots on bedroom shelves and origami paper boats on the walls.

Vibrant textiles, bold patterned wallpaper and 1950s-inspired Italian furnishings are brought to life with bespoke artwork and vintage curios such as wooden chests used as tables to old clocks, birdcages and displays of Roman gladiator helmets.

Spa Tiberio

Reminiscent of the rest of the hotel, the indoor-outdoor pool is lined with eclectic artworks. Take a plunge, enjoy a hydrotherapy circuit or relax in the spa’s sauna and steam room.

You can also opt for a Capri Ritual Banya treatment that uses lemons, fennel and rosemary grown in the hotel’s garden. Various body massages, including Hot Stone and Anti-Jet Lag, aim to recover balance for mind and body, whilst personalized facial treatments respond to specific needs and concerns.

Unwind

If escaping from the world for a few days is a goal, the hotel’s library is the perfect place to while away a few hours, where you can dip into curated books about Capri or written by local authors.

When you’re ready to be a little more active, you can play tennis, work out in a fitness center, try watersports or participate in a yoga or cooking class.

Terrazza Tiberio restaurant

Like the hotel itself, executive chef Francesco de Simone focuses on traditions, yet he isn’t afraid to experiment. Sustainability is at the heart of his philosophy, and he has adopted a zero-kilometer approach by only using local ingredients and herbs, fruit and vegetables cultivated in the garden in his dishes.

Dine on Mediterranean and Caprese classics or certified kosher cuisine while admiring panoramic sea views.

Jacky Bar

After dinner, pop into Jacky Bar on the ground floor for classic and modern cocktails. Find a table inside to appreciate the bar’s graphic motifs and 1950s Cuban vibe, or sit in the alfresco terrace to watch the sun go down.
